SAFE DRIVING PRINCIPLES
At Delpack Logistics, we prioritize safety above all else, recognizing its crucial role in our operational excellence and our commitment to the well-being of our employees and the communities we serve. Our approach to ensuring the highest standards of safety involves harnessing cutting-edge technology to monitor driving behavior meticulously. Each of our delivery vans is outfitted with advanced equipment designed to provide real-time insights into driving patterns, ensuring that our drivers and company staff are instantly alerted to any infractions.
We understand the immense responsibility that comes with operating company vehicles, and as such, we underscore the importance of adhering strictly to safe driving rules. This commitment to safety is reflected in our rigorous monitoring protocols, which track a range of driving behaviors to safeguard against potential hazards. Key infractions that we vigilantly monitor include exceeding posted speed limits, failing to fully stop at stop signs (rolling stop signs), distracted driving, driving without a seatbelt, and rapid braking. These measures are not merely precautionary; they are integral to our mission of maintaining a secure and responsible operational environment.
At Delpack Logistics, safety is not just a policy; it is a cornerstone of our corporate culture. By equipping our fleet with technology to monitor driving behavior, we are taking a proactive stance in promoting safety, ensuring our drivers are not just alert to their surroundings but are also held to the highest standards of responsible driving. We believe that by fostering this culture of safety and accountability, we can continue to deliver excellence while protecting the well-being of everyone involved in our operations.
PLEASE CAREFULLY WATCH EACH VIDEO SEGMENT AND UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF FOLLOWING AND ADHERING TO THE SAFETY RULES WHILE OPERATING THE COMPANY’S VEHICLE. STRICT MEASURES, UP TO IMMEDIATE TERMINATION, WILL BE APPLIED TO THOSE WHO VIOLATE SAFETY RULES.
DRIVING WITHOUT SEATBELT
Always buckle up before turning the ignition key. It is a violation to begin switching gears before the seatbelt is securely fastened.
ROLLING STOP SIGNS
Come to a complete stop one foot before the stop sign, and count to three. Proceed after ensuring the way is clear of pedestrians and oncoming traffic.
DISTRACTED DRIVING
Both hands must be on the steering wheel at all times. Never look down or away from the road while operating a company’s delivery vehicle. Holding a phone in your hand while the vehicle is in motion is prohibited. It is considered a violation to divert your gaze to any object while operating a company’s delivery van.
EXCEEDING POSTED SPEED LIMIT
NEVER exceed 30 mph on local streets or 50 mph on state highways, especially where speed limit signs are not posted nearby. Exceeding the speed limit by 5 mph is considered a major violation.
